Welcome to PT Jawamanis Rafinasi (JMR).
Jawamanis literally translates from the Indonesian language as Sweet Java and PT Jawamanis Rafinasi is Indonesia’s leading refiner of high quality white sugar. Known locally as “Double Refined Sugar” our products are made from the highest quality, internationally sourced raw sugar and the refining process is carefully supervised to globally accepted standards of quality management.
The refinery which is located at Ciwandan in Jawa’s Banten Province, is in close proximity to the ports of Ciwandan and Cigading, facilitating handling of bulk raw sugar into the refinery. Easy access to the Jakarta highway ensures fast, efficient movement of finished product throughout Jawa.
JMR was founded in 2002 as a joint venture between local and overseas investors, when the need for a local producer of high quality sugar to replace imported white sugar was first envisaged. From an initial throughput of 150, 000mt per annum, capacity has grown to 340, 000 mt of refined sugar each year. Markets for this production are principally focused on quality discerning customers in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors of industry.
